COME EXPERIENCE THE ULTIMATE ADRENALINE-FUELED ADVENTURE!
What age is suitable for SWAT Laser Tag?
Recommended minimum age is 7 and up (6 turning 7 is fine). We have had entire families come play before – from little Johnny to Gramps and Grandma.
Is SWAT Laser Tag suitable for girls?
Yes, absolutely. We have done many ‘girls only’ parties and the gals have as much fun as the guys do.
What is the minimum amount of players per SWAT Laser Tag party?
Our minimum is 12 players
What is the maximum amount of players per SWAT Laser Tag party?
We are able to accommodate many players – depending on the function and space available. We have run Family Days at Schools, big team builds for corporate clients, as well as big laser birthday parties. For birthday parties we suggest that 32 player’s maximum is a good number to aim for if planning a big party.
Where is SWAT Laser Tag based?
We have Laser Tag venues in Somerset West, Melkbosstrand, Southern Suburbs, Northern Suburbs, City Bowl and many more areas in the Western Cape. We also have branches in Durban and Johannesburg
How long has SWAT Laser Tag been in operation?
SWAT Laser Tag has been running since April 2010 and have successfully hosted hundreds of Laser Tag events – both at our many home venues as well as many mobile venues across sunny South Africa. Our staff is very adept at running awesome Laser Tag events – there is no occasion too big or too small. We keep it simple and our main focus is ensuring all players have some good healthy fun!
How do we book a SWAT Laser Tag party/event/team-build and how much notice do we need to give?
You can inquire via email, sms or call us directly. Please note that depending on where we are we may not be able to check availability for a Laser Tag event immediately. We need to check our booking schedule for openings. We recommend booking at least 4 weeks in advance to avoid disappointment.
How do mobile SWAT Laser Tag Parties work?
We are 100% mobile so can play Laser Tag at just about any venue – indoors or outdoors. We bring the Laser Games to you! We will recommend a suitable venue in your area if your premises are not suitable for some mobile Laser Tag FUN!
How much space do we need when running mobile Laser Tag parties?
We always say the BIGGER the BETTER for Laser Tag. If indoors we would require a big hall of some sort – like the assembly hall at most schools. The hall would have to be fairly large to accommodate obstacles etc for the players to take cover behind whilst playing the Laser Tag challenge. The guns have a comfortable range of 50 meters and more so the further away your opponent is the better the player experience. For outdoor venues such as your garden, the same applies — we need ample running space with sufficient cover for the players to hide behind. Through experience we have found that a garden/park etc of +- 2000 meters squared and more is suitable.
Can we suggest alternative venues for the mobile SWAT laser option?
Yes, we have played mobile Laser Tag at many parks and outdoor venues all over KZN and the Cape Peninsula. Let us know what suburb you reside in and we will assist with choosing a suitable venue that is safe, plays well and ensures that non players and players alike all have a good time.
Do we have any indoor Laser Tag venues?
At this stage no we do not. We play in the big outdoors but are working on some awesome ideas for some good old fashioned urban style Laser Tag action.
What can we expect on the day?
Typically we will divide the group into 2 teams – one S.W.A.T Team and one Rebel Team. We will then run various type of game scenarios starting at Level 1 (easy) and working our way to Level 3 (more of a challenge). We will then run 2 rounds on each level and keep accurate scoring to predict the winning team of that round. We do ensure that all players get ample game time and will not restrict ammo (bullets) or lives (health) in the early rounds. If more than 16 players we will invariably sub divide into 3 or more teams and run a very successful round robin tournament format of laser game play. This is not cast in stone and we are very open to suggestions and are very flexible in our running of the Laser Tag party. Speak to us if you have something in mind. We have learnt through our vast experience not to complicate matters – we prefer to keep the laser games simple and focus on HAVING FUN!
Is SWAT Laser Tag safe?
SWAT Laser Tag is a non-impact activity and is as safe as playing soccer or similar low impact sports. Laser Tag does require some level of physical exercise and endurance so expect to build up a good healthy sweat on those nice hot summer days.
What should the kids wear to a Laser Tag party?
Most important is footwear – no crocs please! A good sturdy pair of ‘old’ running shoes is ideal, long pants in winter and sturdy shorts in the warmer months, an old t-shirt and jacket (for those nippy days), as well as a hat and sunscreen. If we are predicting some chance of rain then add an old swimming towel and dry set of clothing into the child’s kit bag.
What happens during the wet winter months?
We believe that the Laser Tag games must go on – after all, organising a teambuild/special occasion or birthday party for your little one is stressful enough as it is. Our Laser Tag equipment is able to handle some rain, so in the event of light rain we are happy to play Laser Tag as scheduled. We do keep close tabs on weatherman Pete so will be in touch the week prior to the Laser Tag party if the weather looks really bad.
What happens to my deposit if we get rained out?
Our policy is simple: refund or reschedule – no questions asked. If we arrive and set up for the Laser Tag party and you then decide to cancel, we will charge a standard rate of a R500 cancellation fee. This cancellation fee is to cover traveling and staff costs.
What else do I need to consider when deciding on a S.W.A.T Laser Tag party?
Some things to consider when booking a suitable laser party date are: School and sport commitments of the kids, major live sport events on the proposed date of your Laser Tag party (Dad’s do not like missing big rugby games), suitability of the venue for a mobile Laser Tag party, any allergies some of the kids may have (hay fever, bee stings etc.)
Anything else we need to know?
Yes – HAVE A BLAST AND COME BACK TO VISIT S.W.A.T. LASER TAG AGAIN. 🙂
